Utthama Putthiran Story
Uthama Puthiran film centers on a happy-go-lucky youngster (Dhanush) hailing from a rich family and is well pampered by his family members. When the family elders arrange marriage for their daughter (played by Thamanah in original version), he helps her get married with her boyfriend.
This galls his parents, who push him out of their sight. Meanwhile, the protagonist tends to kidnap a beautiful girl (Genelia D’Souza) as a mistaken identity, with whom he had fell in love at first sight and couldn’t know her whereabouts. Meanwhile, it’s revealed that the girl herself wasn’t interested in this marriage and wanted fly for USA to escape from the clutches of her deadly uncles.
Now, it’s up to the guy to save his belle from the speculative situation and win her heart.
Lingusamy's ‘Uthama Puthiran’
Lingusamy will be releasing his ‘Paiyaa’ this month and the director is geared up to launch his next home production.
If sources are to be believed, Lingusamy will be producing his upcoming project with Silambarasan in the lead. We hear that Lingusamy’s home banner Thirupathi Brothers has roped in Boopathy Padian to wield the megaphone for this one.
This Silambarasan starrer is tentatively titled as ‘Uthama Puthiran’ (Sivaji Ganesan starrer of 1958). Sources add that Silambarasan will be taking an image makeover for this one too. The actor’s VTV makeover created waves in the industry already, and now we have to wait for his next avatar. Silambarasan who is busy working with K V Anand will be jumping on to Lingusamy’s campus after finishing his works for ‘Ko’, they say.
‘Uthama puthiran’ Dhanush
Mithran Jawahar who started his successful career in Tamil with 'Yaaradi Nee Mohini' has again opted for a remake as his third film. Mithran’s first two Tamil films were remakes of Telugu films. 'Yaradi Nee Mohini’ was a remake of the 2007 Telugu blockbuster ‘Aadavari Matalaku Ardhalu Verule’ and ‘Kutty’ was the remake of the Telugu film ‘Arya’.
Mithran is going for a remake of another Telugu film ‘Ready’ this time and he is also repeating his lucky hero Dhanush for the third time in this film as well.
The film has been titled 'Uthamaputhiran' and Genelia who did the Telugu original plays the same role in Tamil also. ‘Uthamaputhiran’ will be a action-comedy-romance which will enhance itself in the hands of Dhanush.

The film ‘Uthamaputhiran’, a remake of the Telugu hit film ‘Ready’, stars Dhanush and Genelia D’Souaza as the lead pair for the first time. The film is being directed by Mitran K. Jawahar who had already directed Dhanush in ‘Yaaradi Nee Mohini’ and ‘Kutty’.
The shooting of the film has been going on at full-throttle at Coutrlam, Tirunelveli, Ambasamuthiram and the surrounding areas. The director plans to wrap the shooting in a single, long schedule. Both Dhanush and Genelia are said to be determined to complete the film before moving on to their other assignments.
Dhanush ready to rock in Ready
Young actor Dhanush, who has been giving hits continuously, is all set to act in another remake. The Tamil version of Telugu blockbuster Ready will star Dhanush and Genelia in the lead and directed by Mitran Jawahar. The movie, which has been tentatively titled as Uthama Puthiran is produced by Balaji Studios Pvt. Ltd,.
Uthama Puthiran will be made in a mammoth budget, possibly Dhanush’s biggest till date. The makers have roped in veteran actor cum director Bagyaraj to elad the comedy track, which will also feature Vivek and Karunas.
